"The changes we’ve made start with a commitment from our senior leadership, and accountability and transparency are critical components to deliver actionable change," Yashica Olden told Forbes.
Yashica Olden, our Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer, spoke to Forbes about the ongoing commitments and actionable change that Condé Nast is working on to champion diversity across the business.
"The Millennial and Gen-Z generations are the most diverse pool of talent in our nation's history," writes Forbes. "44% are non-white. And while a survey by Glassdoor shows that 76% of job seekers and employees believe that a diverse workforce is important, only 55% of American workers say their companies have DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) policies in place...Research shows that more inclusive companies generate a 2.3x higher cash flow per employee and that diverse companies are 35% more likely to outperform less ethnically diverse companies."
Speaking to Forbes, Olden said: "The changes we've made start with a commitment from our senior leadership, and accountability and transparency are critical components to deliver actionable change."
"The Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer says her company completed their first pay equity analysis in the U.S. last year and that DEI is being integrated in all broader HR processes, tools and protocols," writes Forbes' Jane Hansen.
